We are actively seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Platform Services) to join our growing Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of systems architecture and design, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, deploying enterprise DNS,NTP,LDAP services.
- Build, manage and support operation services (DNS,NTP and LDAP) – highly available, secure and scalable – production and lab infrastructure in company’s global data centers and public clouds
- Monitor production and lab environments, troubleshoot alerts & incidents, detect and fix infrastructure problems.
- Working knowledge with Grafana, Prometheus, Syslogs and other Observability tools.
- Python Development: Analysis, evaluation, design, deploying and support in Python to design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable code.
- Automation: Ansible, AWX and Hashicorp vault to automate and streamline Infrastructure Platform services.
- Agile Development: Work within Agile practices/framework (Gitlab, Github) to ensure the timely and iterative delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Understanding and Administration of Linux Operating Systems ( Ubuntu, CentOS and Readhat )
- Understanding of Compute systems from Cisco and Hewlett-Packard
- Understanding of storage systems from in NAS and SAN environments. Pure, Netapp or Hewlett-Packard preferred.
- Understanding of Openstack or VMWare virtual system
- Understanding of IPv4 network protocol.
- Create/maintain documentation of the infrastructure and configurations (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc.) and provide training to relevant staff (within and outside the immediate team)
- Perform maintenance after hours and in change windows via CAB change process.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ in managing global DNS, NTP and LDAP systems on Linux Operating Systems .
- 5+ years in Ansible, Python programing languages, Powershell is a plus.
- Manage DNS on Infoblox, Bind9, CloudFlare, GCP and AWS systems.
- Manage Infoblox DDI eco system.
- Manage NTP on Microchip SyncServer systems.
- Managing OpenLDAP proxy systems.
- Strong experience supporting mission critical 24x7 customer facing production environments.
- Hands-on experience in designing, deploying and managing Cisco UCS infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
This role is fully remote for candidates who reside at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Francisco or San Ramon locations, this role will be Hybrid.
