The role:
The Enterprise Security team handles a wide range of cross-functional activities, from vulnerability management, endpoint security, email and gateway security, data loss prevention, and more.
Each of these ongoing parallel activities entails interpreting and setting requirements, risk-based decision making, cross-functional collaboration and communication, assessing the effectiveness of security controls, and staying up-to-date on security best practices and how changes in the evolving threat landscape need to inform our strategy.
We are seeking a driven Vulnerability Management Engineer with an exceptional commitment to excellence to join the team. As the Vulnerability Management Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Enterprise Security team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional information technology problems, improve customer experience, and generate value for our stakeholders. This position will work cross-functionally to establish and mature the enterprise security program. This will be an individual-contributor role reporting to the Team Lead of Enterprise Security. This position requires a mix of business and technical understanding to best assess and act on potential threats in the environment.
What you’ll do:
As an Information Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's vulnerability management strategy. This includes:
- Deploy, configure, operate, monitor, tune, upgrade, and troubleshoot vulnerability management tools.
- Configure and maintain processes to ensure proper ticketing and remediation of discovered vulnerabilities.
- Ensure vulnerability detection visibility into all environments within the organization.
- Build queries, dashboards, and reports for enterprise and leadership awareness.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the operation and maintenance of endpoint security tools.
- Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduce them to the enterprise in alignment with the enterprise security strategy.
- Participate in cross-training and assistance with other responsibilities of the Enterprise Security team such as endpoint security, email security, web security, and software approval and monitoring.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that security tools are deployed well, function well, and do not impede critical business functions.
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on Vulnerability Management
- Experience with Vulnerability Management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Orca, Wiz, etc.
- Experience working with agent based, network based, and cloud based vulnerability scanning.
- Experience working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience utilizing or configuring CNAPP platforms
- Experience with Groovy scripting or other scripting languages
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations and guidance including GLBA, PCI, SOC1/SOC2, and SOX
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
- Security+, CISSP, CSIM, or other relevant certifications
