About the Role:
Camunda invites a pragmatic and business-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our internationally renowned legal team. Our legal professionals, positioned across key global regions, including the United States and Europe, are tasked with comprehensively managing internal and external legal and regulatory issues. As a key player in this role, you will spearhead the execution of our Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and play a strategic part in the enhancement, oversight, and synchronization of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs.
Your mission will be to champion the integration of best practice solutions that are in strict alignment with our business goals, ensuring continuous compliance throughout the company's operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will be instrumental in refining our compliance infrastructure and identifying opportunities for optimizing business processes. This role is tailored for an individual motivated by the pursuit of excellence in corporate governance and sustainability and eager to drive Camunda forward by implementing compliant and effective business strategies.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead Camunda's preparation and compliance efforts for upcoming reporting obligations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and EU Taxonomy.
- Implement the requirements of the CSRD within Camunda, ensuring timely and accurate sustainability reporting.
- Maintain and enhance Camunda's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) profile, aligning it with industry best practices and stakeholder expectations.
- Actively monitor Camunda's business operations to identify and address any instances of non-compliance or regulatory risks, especially in sustainability reporting and ESG matters.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on ESG-related issues, progress, and initiatives and respond to ESG-related inquiries from investors and customers.
What you bring:
- Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
- A solid background with over five years of experience working within a compliance department, specifically focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) relevant for Europe and the US
- In-depth experience with EU compliance frameworks, including but not limited to the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), or Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Supply Chain Act, and understanding of the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities.
- Proven track record in developing, managing, and maintaining an organization's ESG profile.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively in team settings and lead projects effectively.
- A tech-savvy mindset, comfortable with adopting and utilizing new technologies that aid in compliance management and reporting

Compensation
For external hires, we consider the skills and experience of the incoming candidate, but typically place candidates in the first half of the range to ensure ample room for growth over the entire lifecycle of the role.
Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence.
The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows:
- United States: $147,300.00 to $220,900.00
- Germany: €98,000.00 to €146,900.00
- United Kingdom: £95,500.00 to £143,200.00
- Singapore: S$183,000.00 to S$274,400.00
