Overview: The Senior Director, Project Management will be chartered with improving the way their assigned Inovalon business unit does business by evaluating and applying feedback from our internal and external customers in alignment with our strategic priorities. The Senior Director, Project Management is accountable for driving programs that deliver tangible impact in supporting growth for Inovalon and to guide business programs and operational improvements that enable the company to scale. The Senior Director, Project Management operationalizes key strategic business programs with a common focus on Inovalon’s agility to scale with a focus on achieving sustainable SaaS growth and strategic alignment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a project management framework that drives consistency and operational excellence
- Lead and enable teams and workgroups working in matrixed and complex organizations to execute in a high growth, fasted paced environment
- Comply with all policies/procedures and development of Business Operational development plan(s) execution as well as influence future strategies;
- Effectively and impactfully communicate across programs, as necessary, to identify, assess, collaborate and resolve highly complex issues with contractual and or program requirements to executives and project teams
- Guide the policies, projects, and programs that reduce the level of effort required by sellers, partners, and customers to do business with Inovalon;
- Develop and nurture trusted advisor type relationships within our organization and cross-functionally with stakeholders, as well as the Sales, Marketing, IT, Legal, and Finance teams;
- Enable a better experience in the effort to operationalize and implement project, program and product rollouts more quickly and with scalability;
- Prepare and present information for senior management reviews to summarize program(s) status and any on-going issues;
- Provide stakeholder management to gain support and plan effectively by developing recommendations and solutions to create an agile business;
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
- Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of enterprise software experience; proven experience in project or program management at a senior level. Experience guiding business operations, , or experience as a program or project director;
- Previous leadership position in a fast-paced technical and/or health care environment that included multiple organizations and extensive experience building strong cross-functional project teams or programs with proven results;
- Metrics driven and analytical with the forecasting discipline to operate nimbly in a high growth environment;
- Influences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business;
- Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or programs and initiatives; provides thought leadership;
- Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions;
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm;
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence;
- Impacts business direction through the development of innovative business operations and managing programs; and
- Experience managing cost and schedule for highly complex, high value programs.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
- Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
- Travel for this position will include less than 5% - 10% locally usually for training purposes.
