About the role
At Celonis, we create events unlike any in the industry, because we believe it's what our customers deserve. Our events paint the vision for our customers and partners of what it means to be a game-changer — someone who delivers transformational value for their companies with the help of Process Intelligence technology.
We aren’t afraid to break the rules when it comes to our events — it’s how we show our customers that we’re truly different. We’ve hosted events in an abandoned warehouse and in an airplane hangar on an active runway. We constantly evolve our events strategy and portfolio year after year, creating new events to fuel our company’s hyper-growth. With every event, we raise the bar and defy the impossible to create unforgettable experiences.
We’re looking for a Sr. Director of Global Events to lead our company’s events organization.
This role is an opportunity for you to bring your robust experience and expertise in corporate events to shape and expand our exciting portfolio of global events. Our events are a strategic piece of our company’s high-growth strategy, and are critical to achieving our business goals — by creating incredible experiences for our most important customers, prospects, and partners.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering events that achieve high-growth goals for customer attendance and engagement, sales pipeline influence and generation, and brand awareness.
In this role, you will oversee an events portfolio that includes:
- Celosphere, our annual user conference that brings 3,000 Celonis customers and partners together in Munich for three days of learning, innovation, and community. Celosphere is a not just a user conference; it’s the world’s #1 event for the global Process Intelligence community. Our goal is to continue to build Celosphere into a “destination event” for the industry.
- The Celonis City Collab, a yearlong series of targeted, hyper-local events ranging from 50 to 200 customer, prospect, and partner attendees — across 20 cities in our most strategic sales regions. The City Collab calendar includes Celonis-hosted events, third-party events that we sponsor, and surrounding citywide activations and advertising.
- Strategic executive events, bespoke experiences that target C-level executives in our top customer accounts.
- Strategic internal events, such as our annual Company Kickoff and Presidents Club, our incentive trip for top-performing salespeople.
The Sr. Director of Strategic Events will oversee a team of internal Event Directors that report to you, as well as external resources from events agencies. Each Event Director on your team oversees a portfolio of individual events.
You will also oversee event workstreams managed by other teams across the company, coordinating with organizations like Design, Content, Sales, Product and Engineering, Customer Engagement, Digital Marketing, and more. Ultimately, the Sr. Director of Strategic Events must align all of these stakeholders to collaborate seamlessly and execute events successfully.
This role reports to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing, who oversees marketing campaigns, content, and events globally.

- Manage internal communications and alignment with all stakeholders across event workstreams, as well as presenting regularly to executives and the entire company.
