What you'll do
- Develop and provide support on automation for an assigned set of applications or system elements, specifically:
- Critical automations that enhance the productivity of our Engineering teams
- Building monitoring dashboards and their underlying data collection
- Assist with project definition, scoping resource planning, execution, risk assessment, change control and monitoring.
- Perform infrastructure installation, setup, administration and automated deployments.
- Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional technical team members to resolve platform issues.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for applications and infrastructure, including monitoring dashboards
What you'll bring
- Desire to be part of a talented and motivated team of engineers.
- Proficiency in Python and one or more other modern programming languages.
- Experience with data sources (RDS/Couch/Mongo/NoSQL).
- Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake or Salesforce.
- Proven experience in cloud environments (AWS and GCP preferred).
- Experience in Major incident management and change management transformations
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking and listening.
- A strong desire to learn, build and grow.
- Ability to:
- Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret technical and system problems.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
- Work effectively with technical and non-technical people.
- Handle software system infrastructure tasks, from requirements to production.
- Desire to understand and gain expert knowledge of Vonage products and services.
What's required for application
- Prior experience (at least 5 years) in a DevOps Engineering or related position.
