As our new Senior Data Scientist - Pricing/Revenue Management, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into models that provide actionable insights and driving key decision-making processes. You will work on diverse projects, from data exploration and cleaning to building sophisticated machine learning models and visualising data insights. Your expertise will help us solve complex business problems and enhance our services.
What you'll do:
- Implement new pricing models & algorithms.
- Work together with several business functions to design our pricing strategy.
- Conduct data exploration, cleaning, transformation, and visualisation to uncover trends and patterns.
- Perform statistical analysis to support business decisions.
- Develop machine learning models for classification, clustering, forecasting, and recommendation systems.
- Present data insights efficiently and impactfully to stakeholders.
- Write high-quality code, participate in code reviews, and ensure best practices in coding standards.
- Help develop tools and strategies to optimise e-commerce revenue.
- Utilise tools such as Python, SQL, and shell scripts for data processing and analysis.
- Work with standard data science libraries and frameworks.
- Implement solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Productise models using REST APIs and Docker.
Who you are:
- You have a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant data science experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with pricing/revenue management is a must.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in e-commerce is a plus.
- Previous experience working with product pricing and/or optimising revenue.
- Proficiency in high-quality code practices including the use of Git, code reviews, linting, and testing.
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, with experience in BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with shell scripting.
- Proficient with the standard data science stack: scikit-learn, PyTorch, pandas, matplotlib, Jupyter, etc.
- Experience with cloud computing, preferably Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of model productisation techniques.
