Senior Data Engineer
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer , who will assist in organizing our client's system data into dashboards and on demand reports. This is a unique and highly technical role, requiring strong database and reporting experience in delivering leading-edge solutions. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.
Responsibilities
*Work together with the Director and the Salesforce Admin in order to understand the current data structure and propose improvements.
*Normalize tables and clean up data.
*Improve the foreign keys and index relationships.
*Separate the transactional data from the reporting data in order to improve the performance of the applications in production.
*Help to create new reports and improve existing reports.
Technical Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
*+5 years of experience as a Data Engineer working on dynamic environments.
*At least 3 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory.
*Proven experience as skills with SQL/SSMS and SQL server.
*Good skills and Experience with Power BI.
*Experience working with ETL tools.
*Experience working with Excel.
*Previous Experience with database normalization.
Bonus Skills
*Experience with Access or FileMaker
