Job Description
The primary goal of our Analysis Instruments Software Department is to advance the understanding of nature’s complexity with novel instruments and analysis applications. As a team member, you will develop innovative software solutions for our cutting-edge analysis instruments application portfolio. This spans from modern instrument control software to precise and efficient analysis methodologies to sophisticated and highly interactive visualization concepts, that enable our customers to achieve deep and novel insights in their research. You will have the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of our instrument and analysis software as part of a cross-functional agile team.
- Design, specify, implement, and integrate modern software solutions to provide our research customers with state-of-the-art technology and novel solutions based on various modalities and dimensionalities.
- Write software in C++, apply unit testing and peer reviews to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards.
- Use your knowledge and experience to continuously improve the team performance and our development processes.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 1.5 years of professional experience in writing and reviewing production-level source code (C++) with skills such as multithreading, adding UI widgets, etc. Clean coding is second nature to you.
- Enthusiasm for developing complex and high-quality software applications for various operating systems. Qt and Python skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze and evaluate existing solutions.
- Experience with analytical and/or control software is preferred.
- Domain-specific knowledge such as biotechnology, medical device industry, or similar is a plus, but not required.
- You have an agile mindset, are solution-oriented, and prefer to work in an international environment with complex systems.
