Job Description
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Business Analyst to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Senior Business Analyst will work independently in a large PMO, performing tasks such as updating project schedules, tracking risks, and maintaining project documentation. This role requires expertise in documentation of business requirements and utilizing a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Senior Business Analyst in a large PMO, performing a variety of tasks independently, including updating project schedules, tracking risks, and maintaining project documents such as status reports and briefings.
- Review existing requirements for sites that have already completed implementation to determine requirements traceability.
- Document and manage business requirements using a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), tracking essential details such as requirement ID, description, source, priority, status, design specifications, test cases, implementation status, and verification methods.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring traceability from inception through implementation.
- Support project management activities, including large-scale system migrations and ensuring compliance with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Utilize Jira for tracking project tasks and managing workflows in an Agile environment.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all business requirements are addressed and validated through appropriate test cases and verification methods.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in business analysis or project management.
- Previous federal contracting experience, preferably with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Experience in project management, particularly with large-scale system migrations.
- Proficiency with Jira and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Expertise in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), asset management, or facilities management.
- Experience with asset management processes and systems.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The proposed salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000.
