Job Description
We seek a skilled Automation Test Engineer proficient in Selenium and API testing to bolster the quality assurance of critical modules within our e-commerce platform. This role demands an adept professional to manage test automation for pivotal re-platforming projects and steer future automated testing strategies.*

Responsibilities:
- Analyze product requirements and feature sets to identify automation candidates using a risk-based testing approach.
- Develop the automation testing roadmap and create comprehensive Test Plans for manual and automation testing.
- Design end-to-end Automation Test Cases employing Selenium Element locators, WebDriver methods, Java programming concepts, and TestNG Annotations.
- Implement Data-driven Tests in Java Selenium to improve coverage.
- Design, develop, and execute API test cases to ensure the functionality, reliability, and security of APIs.
- Monitor daily automated regression test suite execution for assigned modules.
- Identifying, debugging, and addressing failures promptly.
- Report defects in JIRA, coordinating with QA and Engineering teams for timely resolution.
- Deliver insightful test metrics derived from QA automation efforts.
- Propose and drive enhancements and design changes to improve maintainability and expand test coverage.
- Collaborate effectively with senior QA automation engineers both onshore and nearshore.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in QA and software development.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software QA engineer, specializing in test automation frameworks and tool implementation.
- Proficiency with Selenium test coding and troubleshooting for at least 5 years.
- 3+ years of experience in Automation Framework Design & Implementation.
- Excellent grasp of Manual Functional and Automated Regression Testing.
- Proficiency with Selenium suite of Tools (Selenium IDE, Selenium RC, Selenium WebDriver, and Selenium Grid).
- Proficiency in Java programming; familiarity with Python and JavaScript is advantageous.
- Good understanding of SQL for data-driven testing
- Familiarity with tools such as Karate, Postman, SoapUI, or similar for API testing and validation. Knowledge of common API testing challenges and strategies. Experience in integrating API testing into automated test frameworks for comprehensive end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with engineering tooling such as Jira, Gitlab, NewRelic, BugSnug is a plus.
