To accelerate our growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Software Engineer in Taiwan with startup passion, a can-do attitude, and a desire to make an impact, while building a future for themselves and Stellar Cyber.
As a Security Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining Stellar Cyber’s data schema and normalization rules for third-party data sources, and integrating third-party security alerts / detections into Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform for best-in-class security use cases together with the platform’s built-in detections.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Stellar Cyber’s third-party alert integration infrastructure that filters, enriches, integrates security alerts from third-party security software with Stellar Cyber’s built-in alerts, cases, and other platform features.
- Implement alert integrations upon customer requests and Stellar Cyber’s product roadmap.
- Collaborate with data ingestion team to create and maintain normalization rules for data sources, e.g., endpoint, network, cloud, etc., to normalize ingested data from different vendors based on product categories and security use cases.
- Collaborate with Product Management to develop and maintain Stellar Cyber’s own data schema for data ingestion and normalization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study, and three years of experience or more in the security software industry is preferred.
- Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
- Five years plus experience in Python or Java or Golang, with hands-on experience of using and implementing REST APIs.
- Comprehensive knowledge on microservices, networking, operating systems (Windows and Linux), web servers, firewalls, proxies, and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, OCI), and being able to apply the knowledge in both software development and data / alert integrations.
- Comprehensive knowledge on MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Unify Kill Chain, and being able to apply the knowledge in designing security use cases.
- Comprehensive knowledge on prevalent data formats like JSON, YAML, and CEF, along with familiarity with popular data schema frameworks, such as Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework and Elastic Common Schema.
