Salsify is currently seeking a Sales Engineer to drive exceptional results in a B2B SaaS environment. As a Sales Engineer at Salsify, you support deal scale and strategy by securing the technical win for prospects and customers. 

Sales Engineers are experts in identifying and aligning with our prospects’ and customers’ business goals, communicating how our platform delivers value. In this role, you'll work alongside our Sales team to target, win, and expand business, while collaborating on scaling efforts to achieve high win rates and ensure customer success.

We have found that the most successful Sales Engineers have strong technical aptitude and are confident and strategic storytellers. As a team, we are very passionate and always ready to dive in and execute.

 

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Support the Sales team with activities required to scale and secure the technical win - including responding to customer requirements, building custom demonstrations, and participating in discovery and product demonstration sessions
  • Identify and present solutions that address functional and technical requirements to organizations of all industries and sizes
  • Maintain technical knowledge of Salsify’s product offerings and customer success stories in order to tie functionality back to desired business outcomes
  • Build great relationships and trust with prospects and customers by providing industry thought leadership and expertise
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Engineering team and cross-functional teams:
    • With Product to advocate for customer needs and influence product roadmap
    • With Customer Success to set customers up for ongoing adoption and growth
    • With Professional Services to understand and prioritize services scope
    • With Marketing to be the face of product messaging and provide market feedback

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • Minimum of 1+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role for B2B SaaS solutions
  • Positive, team player mentality with strong time management, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written responses to emails, customer requirements, and formal RFPs
  • Deep technical aptitude and curiosity for learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative and open approach to problem solving and partnering with internal teams to drive what’s best for the customer and for Salsify
  • Familiarity with PIM, DAM, and/or Commerce solutions preferred but not required
  • Ability and willingness for 10-20% travel
