About the role
You will initiate contact with potential customers interested in the products and services offered by Adaptavist. You will handle inbound, outbound, marketing-qualified, and in-person event leads.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will have a big emphasis on outbound efforts such as calling, emailing, and social media outreach to create a robust pipeline of potential clients. This outbound activity is the link that connects the sales/account management teams with future clients by promoting our offering, generating interest, qualifying needs, and providing a high level of professionalism.
Communicating external prospect information to our various internal teams with a high level of detail and accuracy is needed for the success of the SDR.
What you'll be doing
- Executing outbound prospecting strategies to identify qualified leads through calls, emails, social media, and networking events
- Managing and responding to inbound leads efficiently to qualify and convert them into potential opportunities
- Responding quickly to daily inbound inquiries to the Adaptavist website and other channels
- Showcasing your personality, skills and knowledge as the first point of contact at Adaptavist
- Putting the customers' needs first and always delivering a world-class experience
- Qualifying inbound leads from marketing events and digital campaigns
- Demonstrating an ability to question and understand the clients' reasons for interacting with our marketing campaigns
- Promoting Adaptavist products and services during every contact
- Managing in-person event lead follow ups to qualify and converting them into potential opportunities
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to develop new strategies for engagement and improve response rates
- Tracking and reporting daily activities and results, including contacts made, leads followed up, and potential leads generated
- Utilizing CRM tools to ensure proper management of leads and accurate data capture
- Staying informed of industry trends and competitor activities to enhance outreach strategies
- Attending in-person events
- Outreach to help with event registration and attendance
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in B2B or B2C customer focused role
- Desire to move into Sales or Account Management role in the future
- Experience with monthly target attainment
- Desire to be coached and take feedback gracefully
- Ability to adapt within a forever changing environment
- Comfortable making a large number of client calls and emails each day
- Willingness to learn new sales methodologies
- Time spent using video communication tools - preferably Zoom
- Strong communication skills, able to build rapport during phone calls
A few nice-to-haves
- Post-secondary education
- Experience with monthly target attainment
- Knowledge of the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience using a CRM - preferably HubSpot
- Experience with ZoomInfo
- Working experience with an internal communications tool - preferably Slack
- Understanding current digital marketing practices
