What does a day in the life of a Reporting Analyst Lead/BI Supervisor look like?
Collaborate with business leaders to understand their analytical needs and create a clear Business Intelligence strategy and roadmapEnsure data quality and integrity by establishing data governance policies and proceduresWork closely with Business Intelligence Developers to design and implement efficient processes that ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the Business Intelligence ecosystemOversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizationsEnsure the BI solutions are aligned with business requirements and adhere to best practicesMonitor and optimize the performance of BI queries and reports to ensure timely and efficient data deliveryLead and mentor a team of Business Intelligence Developers providing guidance, support and fostering a collaborative environmentFoster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the teamEstablish clear goals and expectations, and ensure the team's deliverables are of high quality and aligned with business needsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data collection, analysis, and reportingEnsure data integrity, quality, and accuracy through data profiling, cleansing, and validation processesEstablish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and industry best practicesDefine data access controls and permissions, ensuring appropriate data security and confidentialityCollaborate with IT and security teams to implement data protection measures and monitor data access activitiesCollaborate with other departments to gather requirements and align data analysis efforts with business objectivesCommunicate complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiencesStay updated with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and analyticsAdheres to company policies and proceduresMeets or exceeds performance targets for related KPI’sContinuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modulesMaintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all timesPerforms other duties as assigned
What are the required qualifications of a Reporting Analyst Lead/BI Supervisor?
Must have a high school diploma or equivalentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field preferredAt least 3 years experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in the call center environmentAt least 1 year supervisor or lead role experienceAbove average communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.Solid understanding of SQL and database managementExperience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plusAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrityProficient in using computers and various software applications
