The Matian Firm is seeking a Remote Performance Legal Assistant to join our growing Immigration team. You will report directly to the Performance Team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and case management skills. We're looking for someone with knowledge of the immigration court procedures, tracking productivity/performance (through 1:1s and annual reviews), addressing any areas of improvement through performance improvement plans, receiving feedback to improve workflow and efficiency, and celebrating case victories.
Responsibilities
• Oversee cases through the utilization of case management and billing systems to meet both internal and external deadlines.
• Follow internal office procedures.
• Make regular updates to our case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications.
• Maintain electronic files and documents to document all activity on behalf of clients.
• Ensure that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases.
• Assist attorneys and other team members to manage caseload.
• Complete daily assignments and communicate case progress on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
• At least 1 year of performance improvement plans
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with Case Management Softwares, such as Clio and Airtable, preferred.
