The PR Intern will report to the director global public relations. S/he works with the public relations and marketing team to drive programs for communication and customer references. S/he will help drive leadership momentum and media visibility for the company and apply core PR competencies to other areas such as corporate communications and sales programs and initiatives. This is a great position with a lot of room to leave a mark and help shape the PR program. The successful candidate is a team player with solid PR foundation, good common sense and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high-level visibility and leadership presence for the company through implementation of key PR-activities supporting the PR and product marketing/management teams
- Develop and contribute to media strategies, product and corporate PR plans, corporate and product messaging architecture and positioning statements
- Work closely with global PR agencies, write press releases, presentations, scripts, internal and external corporate communications; create and edit corporate communications marketing materials
- Provide daily strategic counsel and insight
- Successful execution and programmatic execution of budgeted initiatives
- Measure effectiveness of PR & customer reference programs
- Secure customer references and develop plans for engaging customers
- Identify and manage speaking opportunities, executive meetings, and thought leadership platforms for customer references
Requirements
- Excellent written communication skills and an innate ability to hone and sell the story
- Full command of public relations concepts as well as previous experience in the strategy and execution of PR activities
- Strong ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- A self-starter with proven ability to work within various levels of an organization
