Title: Product Manager - Transportation
Location: Remote in India
Role Description:
As a Product Manager on the Transportation team, you will help take ShipBob’s logistics might to the next level. You will be responsible for adding to and optimizing ShipBob’s delivery capability across the globe. ShipBob is investing heavily in network optimization, promise based delivery, Next Day, Two Day and international services to maintain its spot as the best ecommerce logistics provider for digital brands.
This role is for someone who is highly systematic, and loves establishing success metrics. In Product, we believe in being outcome-driven and testing and measuring everything so we can collectively take ownership of our results.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a scrum team consisting of 5+ engineers.
- From concept to launch, own the execution of our end-to-end shipping capabilities and delivery experience.
- Develop a deep level of user empathy through product data, competitive analysis, and user research.
- Convert feedback from customers and stakeholders into simple and effective features.
- Know the success metrics for your product area and build the tracking plan to support it; understand and communicate how the work that you’re prioritizing is helping deliver those metrics.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, design, and senior leaders to rapidly execute and iterate.
- Conduct agile ceremonies with Engineering, Design and QA teams.
- Organize high-velocity, predictable sprints.
- Mitigate risks and remove blockers for scrum teams.
- Ensure items in the backlog meet the Definition of Ready and see the work all the way through to the Definition of Done.
- Evangelize the product roadmap and ensure alignment between scrum teams.
- Role requires an overlap of 2-3 hours with US teams from Monday-Thursday.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 5 -7 years or more of experience in product-based companies.
- Experience managing a product team with engineers and UX triad.
- Experience with data and optimization tools and designing experiments to optimize the conversion funnel.
- Technical acumen to facilitate the design and development of software solutions.
- A healthy balance of skepticism and curiosity.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- An acute understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to work under deadlines in an ambiguous environment.
- Relentless user-centricity.
- A data-driven mindset (ability to work with SQL and MS Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Nice to have:
- Prior Supply Chain/Transportation or eCommerce product experience.
