Product Manager - Consumer Experience

Position Description

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team and help us build the next generation of Consumer Experiences for our retail and commerce loyalty platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with Loyalty, Retail, and/or the Fuel & Convenience industry, as well as a passion for mobile and user experience, with a history of bringing engaging customer journeys to market. 

In this role, you will work closely with customers and consumers, design and engineering, and stakeholders across the organization to understand customer needs and desires, and translate them into solutions, designs and crystal clear product requirements. You’ll do this all with a focus on driving key business outcomes against measurable results. As we strive to deliver engaging consumer experiences for Convenience & Fuel Retailers, your expertise and ownership will be critical to our success.

Pay Band / Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.

Why We Need You (Skill and Abilities)

Product Design and Development

  • Responsible for overall Consumer Experiences including the Experience mobile product: maintains the product roadmap, defines, tracks, and reports product KPIs
  • Establishes and maintains necessary analytics tooling to actively monitor against KPIs
  • Represents the “voice of the user” for their product to the organization, and advocates for improvements to the broader platform in support of their product KPIs
  • Performs user interviews, research, and discovery to devise potential avenues of future product evolution
  • Value-scores and assesses proposed feature additions to understand their desirability, viability, and feasibility for the product and overall Open Commerce platform
  • Works with relevant stakeholders to make decisions on if, how, and when potential functionality is to be included on the product roadmap
  • Leads the design and shaping efforts of new product functionality
  • Responsible for guiding the product team towards the ultimate implementation and launch of new features and functionality
  • Collaborates with design to establish UI/UX of new features and functionality
  • Collaborates with engineering to establish and refine technical design and architecture of planned work

Delivery

  • Writes proposals, product requirement documents, and user stories in project management tools, and collaborates with their product team(s) to refine features for engineering sprints in collaboration with a team scrum master
  • Attends regular team scrum ceremonies
  • Actively engaged throughout the design and engineering process, to ensure alignment on product and functional requirements.
  • Performs final review and acceptance testing of completed engineering work

Administration

  • Creates and maintains roadmap items in the centralized roadmap tracking artifact relevant to their product
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers and stakeholders to build trust and understand their needs, desires, and pain points.
  • Works with other PMs to prioritize roadmap initiatives against each other as needed
  • Advocates for prioritization of product initiatives in roadmap grooming
  • Leads scoping activities, and ensures appropriate collaboration with VP Engineering, CTO, VP Product, Director of Design, Product Engineering Leads, and other relevant internal stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other PMs and Platform Delivery Lead to develop quarterly roadmap delivery forecasts based on anticipated team capacity
  • Collaborates with VP Product to communicate roadmap commitments and product changes to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborates with engineering leadership and other product managers to complete resource planning

Additional Experience

  • 2-5+ years as a software/digital product owner or manager, preferably at a SaaS company, and preferably with Mobile App experience
  • Demonstrable experience managing effective geographically distributed teams building digital products, preferably SaaS and in US and Eastern Europe
  • Strong interpersonal and people-management skills, coupled with excellent written and
  • verbal communication
  • Comfort with and experience in interacting with internal senior management as well as counterparts in customer organizations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate and oversee delivery of projects and initiatives across multiple software teams on a complex enterprise software platform
  • Enjoys being hands-on, collaborating directly with designers and engineers, and when necessary, getting involved in the weeds of building software products.
  • Strong familiarity with general software QA and engineering and development principles and processes
  • Ability to work US east coast hours while coordinating with Eastern Europe time zones
