Job Description
As the Product Manager for our Semi Custom and Semi Custom Plus product lines, you will play a critical role in driving the development, strategy, and success of these product portfolios. Collaborating closely with the central product team, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with market demands, competitive positioning, and internal capabilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, a keen eye for market trends, and the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the central product team to develop timelines and execute new product introductions for the Semi Custom and Semi Custom Plus product lines.
- Assist in defining the product strategy based on market analysis, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
- Conduct regular analysis of the product line to identify opportunities for improvement, including assessing which products should be phased out and identifying new products to be introduced.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to identify and implement effective pricing strategies for the product portfolio.
- Conduct thorough analysis of pricing trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences to optimize pricing decisions.
- Partner closely with the marketing team to ensure effective communication of product features and benefits to sales representatives and dealers.
- Work with engineering and quality teams to understand product complexities and address any issues or concerns.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturing plants to ensure smooth production and address any disruptions or complexities that may arise.
- Act as a liaison between the product team and customers, gathering feedback and insights to inform product improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer needs and preferences and incorporate feedback into product development efforts.
- Drive the implementation of product ideas and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Make necessary adjustments to product plans and strategies based on feedback from customers, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in cabinet or furniture manufacturing industry
- The ability to foster relationships and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and due dates simultaneously and drive results.
- Strong computer skills and advanced Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data to develop strategies and recommendations
