As a PMO Analyst at Capco, you will be involved in all aspects of PMO activities to support high-profile projects, programmes and portfolios for our clients. Depending on the client and project, you may get the chance to manage small to medium scale projects under supervision.
AS A PART OF THE CONSULTING TEAM AT CAPCO, THE PMO ANALYST WILL
- Facilitates the planning process including development of project plans and ongoing maintenance of these plans to ensure careful tracking of key milestones and deliverables
- Ensures production of core project reports is completed to a high standard including status reports, RAID logs, change requests and project dashboards
- Identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies and escalating where required to ensure timely implementation of mitigating plans
- Owns the tracking and analysis of budgetary information across the full project portfolio and works closely with senior leaders to develop recommendations. Creates new or adjusted forecasting and staffing models to reflect changes
- Perform secretariat duties for Committees and other senior-level steering forums including preparation of agenda, collation of MI / reporting and minute taking where needed
- The ability to manage small to medium projects under the supervision of the PMO Lead or Programme Manager to support overall successful delivery of the client engagement
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE
- Experience with supporting PMO roles and owning elements of the end-to-end project, programme and portfolio management activities
- Experience working with reporting and tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Clarity, Confluence) is advantageous
- Knowledge of Financial Services and Capital Markets is preferable, but not essential
- Highly analytical, with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality outputs
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the confidence and capability to propose and develop solutions to gaps in the PMO framework
- Effective and flexible communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work positively and sensitively alongside client stakeholders
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, in particular strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Project Management qualifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification are preferable, but not essential
