The Role:

We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our core Operations organization. At Garner, Operations is responsible for critical processes at the heart of our member experience. Among other functions, our teams review claims, validate healthcare provider data, and maintain data integrations. Our goal is to perform these jobs reliably and at the highest quality, thereby ensuring our products “just work” for our members and clients.

Garner is growing rapidly, and this role is critical to scaling our teams. The Operations Manager will span Operations functions—analyzing, building, and deploying processes that make our teams better. The ideal candidate will be a true generalist who will combine empathy, technical skills, data-based problem-solving, and first-principles thinking to drive key projects. The Operations Manager will report to Ganer’s Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute strategic projects across Garner’s Operations functions; this may include establishing and running new functions as we get them set up
  • Leverage data analysis, process mapping, automation, and effective communication to analyze, build, and deploy processes that make our teams more effective and efficient as we scale
  • Work with diverse stakeholders—from operations specialists to product managers to account executives—to understand key workflows, align on solution design, and drive outcomes
  • Analyze and solve complex issues raised by clients, members, and internal stakeholders that pertain to Operations functions

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a strategic problem-solving role; prior experience in consulting, investment banking, analytics, operations in a fast-growing startup, or similar
  • A strong ability to break down complex processes, recommend solutions, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement them
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis, generating meaningful insights, and data modeling
  • Experience with SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and no-code/low-code automation tools
  • A combination of high ownership mentality and detail orientation that has resulted in a track record of delivering operational initiatives on tight deadlines
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system

The target salary range for this position is: $125,000- $140,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
