Job Description

What's the Opportunity ?

Primarily working from home, you will be responsible for the successful installation of Smoothwall’s core cloud products at Multi-Academy Trust and Local Authorities and for the planning and installation of small to medium level installations - FE, Academy, Independent & Primary. You may be required from time-to-time to attend meetings at our Leeds office.

Here's how you'll do it :

The successful candidate will also act as an escalation point for our support team, and occasionally assist with support tickets during peak times of the year. Additionally, there will be close working with the product and engineering teams on the direction of the products.

The key products you will work with are as follows, but there is scope for the role to develop into additional products as needed.
•    Smoothwall Monitor
•    Smoothwall Cloud Filter
•    Smoothwall Cloud Reporting

Qualifications

What you will bring :

•    Strong customer engagement skills.
•    Very organised, methodical, and analytical
•    A proactive mentality 
•    Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to new systems, procedures and environments.
•    Confident and professional in communicating with internal and external people.
•    Working knowledge of the following technical disciplines:
o    Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
o    Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace and other MDM solutions
o    HTTP, HTTPS, Web proxy and filtering
o    Firewall access control
o    Networking, including TCP/IP, routing and switching, NAT

Desirable

•    Experience working in schools, colleges or other education institutions.
•    Understanding of the relevant safeguarding legislation that applies to schools
•    UK driving license and own transport.
•    2 years previous experience in a similar role.
•    Previous Smoothwall experience
•    Industry accreditations (CCNA, CompTIA N+ or similar)
•    A technology related degree or equivalent
