Five9 is a leader in Cloud based Call Center solutions and one of the Bay Area’s fastest growing companies. To complement our rapid growth, we are actively searching for an enthusiastic and results-driven MS SQL Server DBA to join our Technical Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production databases in global data centers
- Support MSSQL database replication and clustering
- Monitor production databases, performance tuning and backup/recovery process
- Troubleshoot database issues; maintain database systems availability
- Develop database tools to automate existing database tasks
- Develop database monitoring scripts and automation
- Create/maintain database related documentation
- Follow change management process for all production changes
Requirements
- Minimum experience of 5 years as Microsoft SQL DBA supporting production environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services
- Knowledge of Powershell and Python
- Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS)
- Experience in SQL Server Replications
- Experience in managing Windows clusters and AlwaysOn
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server backup/restore recovery models
- Experience in SQL Server user management
- Experience in implementing operational automation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Documentation skills for processes and procedures
Desired Skills:
- MySQL, NoSQL experience
- Experience in database development
- GitOps / CI/CD processes
This role is fully remote for candidates who reside at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Francisco or San Ramon locations, this role will be Hybrid.
