Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and take ownership of architectural approaches used across Altera or customer software solutions to meet the company and customer strategic goals. Complete Technical Feasibility and Solution Architecture Design for product releases. This role specifically supports Baptist Health in Pensacola, Florida

Essential Functions/Major Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate Effectively: Clearly and effectively communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Estimate Production and Revision: Contribute to the production and revision of accurate detailed estimates.
    Architectural Solutions:
  • Architect and propose technical solutions, ensuring their integrity and that they can be built, implemented, and maintained within timelines.
  • Technical Roadmap: Contribute to the creation and evangelizing of the product technical roadmap.
  • Development Guidance: Guide development teams and assist with decision-making.
  • Framework Selection: Direct development organizations in the appropriate selection and use of technical frameworks, platforms, and design patterns.
  • Industry Standards: Stay familiar with industry changes in technology standards, information management, development standards, methods, and emerging 3rd party software to advise on technology and leverage industry best practices.
  • Proposal Production: Contribute to the production of proposals in response to requests for development, RFIs, and RFPs.
  • Development Standards: Contribute to the definition and documentation of development standards and best practices.
  • Continuous Exploration: Participate in the continuous exploration process as part of the continuous delivery pipeline, especially with enabler Epics.
  • Subsystems and Interfaces: Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context.
  • Solution Intent: Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level solution intent and the solution intent information models and documentation requirements.
  • Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others.
  • Economic Framework: Operate within the economic framework to validate the economic impact of design decisions and work with portfolio stakeholders to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enabler epics.
  • Program Increment (PI) Planning: Participate in PI planning and pre- and post-PI planning, system and solution demos, and inspect and adapt events.
  • ART and Solution Train Enablers: Define, explore, and support the implementation of ART and Solution Train Enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them.
  • Architectural Runway: Plan and develop the architectural runway in support of new business features and capabilities.
  • Technology/Engineering Aspects: Support technology/engineering aspects of Program and Solution Kanban.
  • Emerging Technologies: Research and propose relevant emerging technologies and own the technical roadmap.
  • Technical Design Authority: Act as a technical design authority, driving benchmarking, installation, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and testing activities.
  • Performance Metrics: Define performance metrics and hardware requirements.
  • Product Roadmap: Work with Solution Management to contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Team Management: May manage a single scrum team, including recruiting talent, setting objectives, allocating workload, coaching, providing feedback, recognizing high performers, and communicating company news.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree: In a related discipline or equivalent (Preferred)

 

Work Experience

  • 10+ years: Relevant work experience, with 2-3 years at the Expert level or equivalent experience (Preferred)

 

Certifications

  • Azure Architect Certification (Preferred)
  • SOA Architect Certification (Preferred)
  • SAFe Certification (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Active participation in Program Increment (PI) planning, system and solution demos, and inspect and adapt events.
  • Ability to collaborate with Product and Solution Management to determine capacity allocation for enablement work.
  • Ability to provide oversight and foster built-in quality.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Adhoc SQL Queries: Execute MS SQL queries for urgent or high-priority, one-time needs.
  • Print Server Management: Install drivers and manage printers on a hosted print server.
  • Logical Printing: Utilize Config Tool to create and troubleshoot transmission policies, communication processes, report versions, and logical print locations.
  • Custom Programming: Handle minimal custom programming requests primarily using C# for standalone and SCM integrated solutions.
  • FollowUp Boards: Develop and manage custom stored procedures/functions called by ACS WLT.
  • Patient Flow Application: Execute database scripts to resolve stuck jobs or faulted workflows.
  • Patient Flow eLink: Research logs and queues, and manage stop/start interfaces.
  • ePI Interfaces: Research logs and queues, manage stop/start interfaces (Atlas, SCI, SCM).
  • Environment Refresh: Prepare and stage non-production environments post-production restore.
  • Unity API Integrations: Serve as the point of contact for third-party integrations with SCM using Unity API.
  • System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot high to critical issues using eToolkit, server logs, blackbox, AppD, Grafana, and Logic Monitor.
  • Tech Lead for SCM Upgrades: Verify the scope of upgrades, confirm system resources, and collaborate with teams to ensure successful upgrades.
  • Non-Production Services and App Pool Restarts: Manage stop/start activities for any service or application on hosted servers.
  • Helios Workgroup Maintenance: Maintain train environment workstations using Enterprise Manager
