OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings Inc., is the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, seating more than 26 million diners per month via online bookings across approximately 47,000 restaurants.
For over 25 years we’ve been connecting diners and restaurants for millions of date nights, birthdays, Taco Tuesdays, happy hours and just-because dinners. Dining behaviors and restaurant operations are constantly evolving, especially now, and at OpenTable you’ll be playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the dining industry as it continues to evolve. We’d love you to join us in thoughtfully supporting bothour diner and restaurant customers through the good times and the tougher ones, too, driving experiences that will be used by millions globally.
As an employee of OpenTable, you will be part of a global network that includes OpenTable and KAYAK's portfolio of metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights, Swoodoo, checkfelix and Mundi. Many employees are dedicated to one brand, but we all have the benefit of leveraging each other’s strengths and insights—together, we’re able to help people experience the world through dining and travel.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our consumer product design team. This individual will work closely with a global team of product managers, product & brand designers, engineers, and data scientists to craft experiences that will impact diners and restaurants worldwide!
The Lead Product Designer is an influential design partner embedded in our Content team, where they will not only own key parts of OpenTable's diner-facing experiences that receive millions of visits every single day, but will also have an impact on the quality of the content that powers those experiences. From reviews and images to our newsfeed product and editorial lists, this individual will have the opportunity to help our restaurants present their best selves and delight our diners.
This is an opportunity to create, evolve, and develop new experiences for diners while balancing the needs of our users, restaurants, and the business as well as confidently navigate the full range of a product designer’s work; from strategy and research to high-fidelity designs. On some days the Lead Product Designer will rapidly sketch ideas and launch experiments as A/B tests, and on other days they will craft a project vision or team up for long-term success.
