Job Description
Configuration Management highest goal is to keep the data in the central data management tool "W5Base/Darwin" always up to date in the interest of the entire Deutsche Telekom IT.
Darwin (Data Access Research Web Interface) is the configuration management database (CMDB) for Telekom IT's SACM process.
Based on the data from the SACM process, there are many other functionalities that are used by the processes change management, incident management, problem management, license management, etc.
Your future tasks as Lead Config Manager:
- You are responsible for the config management within DT IT.
- Align the processes, topics, development, features with the stakeholders within the group.
- Ensure good data quality.
- Setup migration of old to new CMDB.
- Ensure high quality automated workflows.
- Setup auto config management tools and process.
The security aspects are:
- the automatic identification and inventorization of running machines within the cloud and the connection to the follow up processes (e.g. Patchlevel- and Vulnerability-Scanning).
- the provision of data for automated security processes, e.g. automated assignment of found issues to the relevant hubs and Jiras.
- the integration of config management within automated pipelines.
- the links between the PSA/PSI-portal and the config management to establish quality checks.
