Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop data pipelines using Python and associated orchestration tools and processesDeploy data pipelines following best practice DevOps principles and incorporating automated testingDrive a culture of continuous analytics improvement to advance data literacy across the organisationLead, manage and mentor a team of analytics engineersBe a team player, foster a speed-oriented culture in our data team and help to cultivate a fast-growing teamWork autonomously and make decisions collaboratively, within a team that will support and challenge you as you grow and develop
Required Attributes:
Strong development skills in PythonExperience writing SQL queries for extracting and processing dataExperience with data structure and data modelling, as well as translating business requirements to fit the purposeExperience using Git version controlComfortable with a fast-paced working environment where priorities may change frequentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesFamiliarity with AWS (or other cloud service providers)
Highly Valued Attributes:
Experience deploying data pipelines following best practice, including writing automated tests and setting up of CI/CD pipelinesExperience with orchestration tools such as Dagster and data processing frameworksExperience working with event-oriented data structuresFamiliarity with data transformation tools such as dbtExperience with hiring and team-building
Analytics Engineering Tech Stack:
AWS Athena, Dagster, dbt, Python
