Job Description

This is a key role to provide exemplary levels of service to our customers by managing RFQ’s and orders from receipt through to delivery. Work with manufacturing, engineering and purchasing to ensure the customer’ requirements are met in full. Ensure that the customer is kept always updated on RFQ and order developments whilst managing any issues in a proactive manner.

Reporting to the Inside Sales & Contract Supervisor, in this role you will quote customer RFQ’s and ensure that their requirements are correctly interpreted and fully understood, liaise and use negotiation skills with both customers and internal departments regarding delivery or special requirements.

In this role you will manage and effectively execute customer orders, from contract review through to collaboration with factories to ensure accurate delivery. Engage the Quality department to resolve and investigate customer quality complaints, ensuring customer expectations are managed through to resolution.

This role would suit a determined problem-solver who has experience of the mechanical industry.

Experience Requirements:

  • Degree or mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in application engineering or inside sales is desired.
  • Desirable an understanding of engineering drawings
  • Commercial awareness
  • Background in Customer Service and orders management
  • Fluent English
  • Available for occasional business trips

The Successful Candidate:

  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met to the full
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work in team
  • Good communication skills, customer focused, multitask and good at executing tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Able to quickly learn & utilize business software and internal programs.
  • Ability to interact with customers on routine basis and must demonstrate a high level of Customer Service.
  • Motivated, self-starter and able to work independently after a training period
  • Ability to approach challenges with a proactive mindset and find solutions to problems
