Job Description

The Human Resource Manager responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources for company compensation, employee relations, disciplinary actions, employment law, recruiting, orientation, benefits, and policies.  Manage payroll and timekeeping for all hourly employees.  Actively support senior management in business strategy and planning.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  1. Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals.
  2. Conducts new employee orientations and ensures employees gain an understanding of the benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  3. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests, issues, or questions in a quick, equitable, and courteous manner.
  4. Maintain training records including sign-in sheets, certifications, and materials.
  5. Safety champion and coordinator of the safety program.
  6. Ability to manage a small office environment which includes answering telephones, distributing mail, and ordering supplies.
  7. Processes and administers all vacation, leave of absence requests, disability paperwork, medical, and leave.
  8. Prepares, scans, maintains and files papers and documents into appropriate employee files; performs file and system audits as necessary.
  9. Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
  10. Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements.
  11. Runs background reports, schedules new hire drug test, including reemployment, random, for cause and post-accident.
  12. Assists with various research projects and special projects.
  13. Administers employee’s relations events such as awards, Christmas party, etc.
  14. Act as liaisons between the employees and management to answer any questions having to do with company policies, practices, and regulations.
  15. Coach employees and managers on employee relations matters. Conduct employee investigations, onboarding and terminations and assists with disciplinary actions.
  16. Prepare workers compensation reports and submit First Report of Injury to the Workers Compensation Carrier.
  17. Recommend improvement strategy on improving managers and employees performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing the selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  18. Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, understand business goals and identify, recruit, screen and attract a diverse slate of top-notch candidates.
  19. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/ Korean) preferred

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:  A Bachlor's degree with a major in Business Administration or Human Resources Management.

Experience: 5+ years of experience progressive HR experience or equivalent combination of education and expertise required.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required, Access preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:  HIPPA Certification and Notary Public, a plus
