Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join us on a fixed term contract for a 12 month period. As an HR Advisor, you'll provide administrative support to the wider HR team including employee lifecycle processes, maintaining accurate people data, coordinating learning and development activities, and supporting recruitment.
Supporting the delivery of the HR strategy, you'll provide support and guidance to managers on people management practices and policy, ensuring a fair and legal employment environment. Your main tasks will involve:
- Acting as first point of contact providing HR administration, signposting and support to the wider business, including pragmatic and comprehensive HR advice, escalating matters to the HR Manager where necessary.
- Providing advice and guidance to line managers and employees on employee relations and employment lifecycle subjects such as exit interviews, family leave, sickness absence, flexible working requests, probation extensions, disciplinary, grievance and other performance related matters.
- Supporting the Recruitment Manager with advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, checking right to work documentation, offering to candidates, and onboarding.
- Coordinating Reaction Engines' talent programmes including our graduate and apprenticeship schemes and progression as well as processing training requests.
- Collating data for business and management information meetings and presentations.
- Maintaining accurate employee records in the HR (IFS and Cezanne) and electronic filing systems, including but not limited to employees' right to work and security clearance.
- Proactively keeping up to date with current legislation and best practice, ensuring your work and HR processes are in line with legislative requirements.
Qualifications
To be successful you'll need:
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification or qualified by experience
- A track record of working across multiple business/HR systems
- A good level of IT proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience of maintaining HR data in the IFS business system is desirable but not essential
