Job Summary
As a Head of Product for our medical quantum sensing team, you will be responsible for defining and launching impactful medical devices to address critical unmet clinical needs in healthcare. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with internal & external stakeholders with expertise in cardiology, hardware & software engineering, and machine learning to ensure our product is designed and built to exceed our users’ expectations. You will also work with medtech experts in clinical, regulatory, quality, and reimbursement to develop and execute a deliberate & thoughtful strategy to obtain regulatory clearance & commercialize our product worldwide. A successful Head of Product will not only turn ideas into innovative medical products, but also make a positive impact on the business.
Core Responsibilities
- Define impactful and differentiating medical products by deeply understanding and analyzing customer needs, medtech ecosystem, market and policy trends, and competitive landscape
- Lead and own product strategy and roadmap, by working collaboratively with clinical, technical, business, and medtech stakeholders
- Manage medtech-specific functions in preclinical & clinical, regulatory, quality, and reimbursement as part of commercialization planning & execution
- Serve as a key member of the medical quantum sensing leadership team. Help define, track, adjust, and communicate objectives and deliverables to the rest of the team & Sandbox, to ensure the overall company & team objectives are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in engineering, biology, or related fields
- 10+ years of piloting, developing, and/or launching regulated medical products
- Proficient in working directly with physicians and hospitals
- Proficient in defining and articulating product vision, strategic product roadmaps, user & product requirements, and go-to-market strategy
- Proficient in preclinical & clinical, regulatory, reimbursement and quality workstreams, especially during the early phases of medtech product development
- Track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams (e.g., Hardware & Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Business Development, Legal.. etc.).
- Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cardiology (interventional cardiology, electrophysiology) and/or emergency medicine highly preferred
- Experience in novel diagnostic devices, SaMDs, 510(k), and de-novo regulatory pathway highly preferred
- Experience building and growing relationships with partners (e.g. clinical, regulatory, quality, reimbursement consultants or firms)
- Excel in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Awareness and understanding of the latest market & policy trends in healthcare
