What You’ll Do
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing organizations, federal agencies, and internal stakeholders to develop and deploy mid to longer term commercial procurement strategies.
- In close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders this role will offer invaluable insights into the procurement implications of legislative and regulatory developments to drive the business forward.
- Develop and implement long-term global sourcing strategies to guarantee the timely and cost-efficient delivery of essential materials and services, advancing the Company's US focused multi-gigawatt solar and storage pipeline while optimizing performance.
- Foster partnerships with prospective and current on and offshore OEM suppliers and cultivate relationships that deliver maximum value.
- Stay abreast of industry development, emerging market trends, and materials while incorporating relevant innovations and technologies into company procurement strategies.
- Adept at identifying and navigating both physical and political risks. This encompasses a comprehensive approach to address challenges such as supply chain disruptions, vendor risk assessments, supply chain security, market fluctuations, and broader global market dynamics.
- Establish measures and foster strategic relationships to secure uninterrupted access to global solar and storage suppliers to meet our growth objectives.
Must Haves
- 12+ years of leadership experience working in supply chain and/or procurement.
- 10+ years of experience working for a solar and/or storage developer, IPP or EPC in a strategic leadership role.
- Proven record of accomplishment in building and maintaining international relationships within the solar and storage procurement industry
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, solar on and offshore manufacturing capabilities, domestic and international regulatory requirements and global solar supply and demand dynamics and economics.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify and analyze trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Strong executive presence, and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in Global audiences. Proven success in presenting and influencing C-Suite.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, economics, engineering, or global supply chain management.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Domestic and international travel is required. Up to 25% travel.
- Remote or Hybrid work environment. No relocation required.
