About the Role:
Motive is searching for a Growth Strategy and Planning Manager that will be driving our company’s growth initiatives by developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve long-term business objectives. This role involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and crafting actionable strategies that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, market analysis, and project management.
This role will help Motive identify new opportunities where it can grow its business and get more efficiency from its existing marketing and sales efforts/spend. This is a large and growing business looking to unlock further avenues to sustain that path, which requires deep thinking, data analysis, and effective storytelling to find and pitch those ideas.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze and report on business trends and performance.
- Understand drivers of over- and under-performance.
- Identify reasons for performance gaps or overperformance.
- Support planning and target setting (e.g., end of quarter, FY'25 planning).
- Conduct deeper analysis using SQL, Excel, and Tableau.
- Answer key business questions and define recommendations.
- Examples include e-commerce opportunity sizing and TAM forecasting.
- Manage initiatives post-strategic analysis.
- Work with stakeholders to drive project execution.
What We're Looking For:
- 4-6+ years of experience.
- Conducting data analysis and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel and SQL experience required.
- Tableau or similar visualization tool experience is a plus.
- Ability to pair qualitative insights with quantitative data.
- Track record of working and adapting to ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Ability to create structure around challenging problems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Concrete experience in building strong interpersonal relationships.
- Collaborative, innovative, accountable, and reliable work ethic.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong English communication skills.
