Position Summary
Global Network Strategy and Operations (GNSO) is a foundational function to ensure that Marqeta is operationally ‘paving the road’ for our Customers through our network partners. Our business model thrives on the infrastructures established by these payment networks, necessitating our team's expertise to foster and deepen these invaluable partnerships and open the door to the payments ecosystem for our customers. We are pioneers, facilitating Marqeta and our customers to bring services to market swiftly and efficiently.

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Global Network Strategy and Operations, the Global Network Strategy & Operations Analyst will be responsible for facilitating multiple aspects of the payments network numeric lifecycle (BINs, RIDs, ICAs, Issuing Identifiers, etc) including acquisition, installation, configuration, assignment and decommissioning. You’ll be collaborating closely with the Marqeta extended team, including Network and Bank Partnerships, Customer Success, Delivery, Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal, Technology, etc. We seek an outcome owner that collaborates cross functionally to gain alignment as we focus on delivering optimal solutions for our customers.

The team is looking for candidates with a base level knowledge of payments networks and the payments ecosystem. A strong candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for finding a way to deliver for our customers and stakeholders. This role requires self motivation and will have moderate guidance and oversight.
What you'll do
This role will assist with network numeric configurations, with a focus on BIN management, for new Marqeta programs. This role requires a dynamic professional that is extremely detail oriented and takes initiative to engage cross-functionally. You have an opportunity for tremendous impact as we scale the business.
- Manage, organize and track numeric related requests with our network and issuer partners, including but not limited to data analysis and submissions
- Manage, combine and prioritize support tickets as assigned
- Provide support for team members in connection with banks, networks and/or other partners (issuer/network coordination, numerics installation and configurations)
- Manage BIN system of record to ensure consistency with partner data
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years experience in payments at Processor or Payment Network
- Deep knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard products, services and policies is preferred.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
- Operates as an owner and drives accountability for assigned tasks
- Ability to prioritize with direction, manage and deliver on multiple projects; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive timelines
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables
