About the team/role
As a Financial Planning & Strategy Manager - G&A, you will play a critical role on the Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team. The FP&S team is responsible for the financial decision-making across the organization. We partner with business teams to inform and guide strategic decision-making across Checkr. This role is entrepreneurial and cross-functional and, as such, the candidate must be inquisitive, demonstrate initiative and be able to thrive in a collaborative environment. The right candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills to influence data-driven business decisions. You will be the business partner to the G&A functions and combine your financial modeling skills with knowledge of the business to become a trusted business partner. Comfort influencing and interacting at all levels of senior management (including VP, SVP and C-suite) is a must.
What you’ll do
- Be the go-to financial partner for G&A functions. Deliver data-driven, ad-hoc analyses and prepare strategic materials for key management meetings, summarizing findings, risks, opportunities, and recommendations
- Develop actionable reporting, analyses, and KPI tracking to help the organization gain key insights into spend drivers (OpEx, headcount, project expenses, etc) and efficiency opportunities
- Translate resourcing needs to financial forecasts; Drive accurate and disciplined spend management with cross-functional partners.
- Lead strategic financial planning and forecast processes (Short-term, AOP, and LRP) across the G&A organization.
- Support the Corporate Financial Planning team with ad hoc projects, planning, and continuous improvement of our processes and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Checkr
What you bring
- 7+ years of relevant progressive Finance experience in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, including FP&A, investment banking or consulting
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with experience building financial models and explaining financial concepts to non-finance audiences.
- Ability to set and keep deadlines at a fast pace without losing accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to influence and drive engagement with senior-level business partners
- Experience with enterprise planning and BI tools (Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Looker, etc)

The base salary range for this role is $147,341 to $199,343 in San Francisco.
