To complement our rapid growth, we are actively looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A group on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate is well-rounded with experience in corporate FP&A, budgeting and financial modeling.
This is a key position located at our San Ramon, CA headquarters which reports to the Manager, FP&A.
Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will provide key business support to various business partners and organizations within the company and the range of responsibilities includes:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Build and maintain top and bottom-line financial forecasts, report on key metrics, and create ad hoc queries and financial models
- Partner with business units to analyze and identify key drivers of risks and opportunities to help maintain an accurate read on quarterly forecasts
- Prepare monthly / quarterly budget vs. actual variance analysis
- Monitor key trends / assumptions on headcount, capital expenditures, and operating expenses
- Work closely with the Accounting team in monthly close processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy of entries
- Leverage Five9 financial systems to automate and scale current processes and reports
- Participate in new FP&A initiatives, including ad hoc analysis and process improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 3+ years of corporate financial planning and analysis experience or relevant experience in investment banking/private equity
- SaaS experience a plus
- High analytical acumen and financial modeling skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with planning systems such as Adaptive Insights / Host Analytics / Oracle
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Basic SQL database knowledge a plus
