Senior Backend Developer (Java)
Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior Backend Developer with exceptional web services and other backend development skills to work as a member of an Agile team responsible for building and maintaining our client's web and/or mobile applications. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.
Responsibilities
*Work with an agile team to build, maintain and optimize our client's applications
*Mentor fellow developers
*Work with DevOps and QA to build a quality focused CI/CD pipeline
*Responsible for code reviews, testing and delivery of high-quality maintainable code
*Work in an Agile environment to define, estimate and work user stories
*Proficient English and communications skills required
*Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Technical Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
*Minimum of 7 years of experience in core Java development
*Strong understanding and extensive use of Java's Concurrent Package and Collections Framework
*Proven track record of delivering TCP/IP Socket Server/Client in an asynchronous clustered environment
*Excellent JDBC knowledge, including PL/SQL (Stored Procedures), and expertise in Spring Boot Data JPA
*At least 3 years of experience using modern Java frameworks such as Spring or Micronaut
*Experience with modern enterprise patterns like microservices
*Experience with GraphQL
*Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining production-grade applications
Bonus Skills
*Development experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
*Cloud development experience with AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
*Container experience with Docker/Kubernetes
