SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
We are looking for a technical manager who can help us scale up our Information Security Team and safely empower our employees to safely move fast. SeatGeek is a product-centric organization that deploys code into production many times per day. As we grow, the scale of our technical challenges - and their effect on our customers - continue to increase. We want to ensure we continue to build and secure the best product and team we can.
What you'll do
- Manage, mentor, and continue growing a team of security engineers
- Continue and oversee maturing our Detection and Response program through tooling and automation
- Act as a primary interface between our corporate and infrastructure engineering leads
- Own and lead our Corporate Security program, including raising security awareness and driving internal awareness campaigns
- Participate in an on-call and incident manager rotation
- Help maintain and participate in our vulnerability management program
- Advise and collaborate with our legal team regarding our SIRT program
- Develop the team’s roadmap and influence the overarching Security strategy
- Advise and align the program with the growing threat landscape and industry trends
Who you are
- You have at least 3 years experience as an engineering people manager of productive, motivated teams
- You have experience building incident response, security awareness, and corporate security programs, with at least 5 years as an individual contributor role
- You have irreproachable technical skills, and your team should look up to you as a mentor. With your knowledge of industry technology trends you can help your team build scalable tooling and frameworks, setting them up for success.
- You understand how to lead by setting context and facilitating collaboration between IT, HR, Legal, Engineering and business leaders
The tools we use
You absolutely do not need experience with all of these, but we thought you might be curious. Tools can be learned, so we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular technology.
