As an Engineering Manager, you’ll thrive in our team if you love chasing impact, working through ambiguity, and developing a culture of innovation. In this role, you’ll lead a team of 5-10 engineers, leveraging your robust managerial toolbox to drive direct business and customer impact independently. You’ll work closely with your direct reports, cross-functional partners, and other teams to build the future of Dropbox. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5-10 engineers in identifying, adopting, and building solutions for improved testing experience across multiple platforms
- Monitor the performance and impact of adopted solutions, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement
- Drive results by identifying impactful opportunities and ensuring long-term growth and customer impact
- Inspire your team with a clear direction, fostering an environment where innovation flourishes and bold ideas are encouraged
- Foster talent development by supporting personal growth, career advancement, and diverse hiring practices
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive culture, championing team members and upholding our company values
- Ensure software and architecture excellence through quality feedback, risk mitigation, and alignment with technical strategy and business goals
Requirements
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, web-based technologies, and cloud-based platforms
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics) or equivalent technical experience
- of people management experience with an engineering team
- Minimum of 5 year as a software engineer or equivalent technical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Developer tools and testing
- Passion for solving developer productivity, developer experience, systems performance and scalability issues
- Experience working across timezones, and matrix style management
