A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of a business's products or services in a specified region or geographical area and reports to the Head of Sales. The regional sales manager ensures profitable growth in sales, and revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team.
Your specific responsibilities and duties will include:
Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
Strategize sales plans for short and long-term objectives
Manage significant opportunity pipeline to guarantee success and regional growth
Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
Counsel, train, and guide direct reports to drive organization plans for achieving sales goals
Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
Hire, train, set goals and monitor the performance of direct reports
Report on regional sales resultsForecast quarterly and annual profits
Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
Inform on regional competitive activities and overall marketplace on time
Foster relationships with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams
