EMEA Payroll Supervisor

As a Payroll Lead you will work within a welcoming team, reporting to the Payroll Manager. You'll ensure accurate and timely outsourced payroll production for various countries in accordance with statutory regulations and with a strong focus on customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team at an exciting part of the journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of our EMEA payrolls through the use of Cloudpay.
  • Raising risks, issues and discrepancies in good time and working to find resolutions.
  • Identify and implement payroll process improvements and standard methodologies, driving improved customer service levels and eliminating unnecessary payroll errors.
  • Ensure all payroll related payments (e.g. payroll taxes, fringe benefits, stock-based compensation, global mobility) is processed and reported and pension contributions for the various company schemes are uploaded within deadlines.
  • Respond to employees' questions via an internal ticketing system and that these are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, whilst ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teams (Accounting, HR) that may have different priorities, points of view, or sense of urgency, to ensure that the end to end payroll process is accurate.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to support the development of payroll process improvements, integrations and automations, assist on queries from internal team members and collaborate on ad hoc projects.
  • Support the wider HR Team on projects, to improve efficiencies within our Department and the Employee experience.
  • Provide support to 2 payroll specialists and also cover for the Payroll Manager during absence.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and audits

Please apply if:

  • Professional payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) and/or professional accounting qualification, with 6 - 8 years of proven track record to deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, whilst meeting compliance requirements
  • International payroll processing experience for the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands and Switzerland is required.
  • Experience in processing EMEA stock payroll, RSU and Stock options as well as benefits and pension administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll and related HR/Accounting systems; Cloudpay and WorkDay is preferred and proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables)
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles; knowledge and experience with journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate confidently and expertly at all levels within the organisation.
  • Experience in the documentation of payroll processes, assisting on audits and ensuring year end reporting tasks are completed within deadlines.
  • Solution focused and hands-on approach, with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple tasks in order to meet conflicting timelines.
  • Proactive attitude, flagging issues and inefficiencies and challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a process improvement mentality, whilst looking to develop their career further.
