Overview: The Director of Product Management, Real-World Data will provide leadership in the development and execution of business strategy for the industry’s largest primary source dataset. The Director of Product Management will transform business and market strategies into solutions for problems that are urgent, pervasive and that the market will pay to solve. This person will have a deep understand of our customers, prospects, partners, and competitors and infuse thought leadership throughout product lifecycle. The Director of Product Management, Real-World Data will communicate to key stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, and will engage with customers and business partners to understand new market needs, as well as define roadmaps and business cases. This person will demonstrate deep domain expertise, as well as product management discipline, to bring cutting-edge solutions and assets to market, resulting in delighted customers and sustained growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and mentors a team of product managers, product owners, and clinical data experts responsible for our Real-World Data portfolio. Reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Product
- Owns the design of a strategic, multi-year business plan to meet strategic and financial goals (e.g., revenue, EBIDTA)
- Engage with customers, prospects, buyers, users, internal subject matter experts, and business partners to drive the roadmap and product vision
- Leads solutions through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process through collaboration with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and other stakeholders
- Owns capacity planning, including tradeoffs based on a close partnership with Engineering
- Contribute to identification and evaluation of potential third-party partnerships
- Own commercialization efforts, including pricing and distribution strategy
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement, including HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements
Job Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Real-World Data. Diverse experience in claims, EHR, lab, and pharmacy data preferred
- 5+ years of product management experience with at least of 3+ years of accomplishments in healthcare and life science technologies
- Proven track record in building new software products, introducing them to market, and accelerating their growth
- Visionary leader, ability to manage a “whole product” and lead virtual teams
- Experience writing specs, creating a roadmap, and forming a partnership with an engineering team
- ‘Get things done attitude’ along with great organizational skills
- Deep understanding of Agile process
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; and
- Master’s degree in related fields is highly desired.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
- Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
- Travel for this position may be seasonal for specific product lines which may lead to concentrations of travel during specific periods of the year, but generally should not exceed 25% on an annual basis.
