Role Overview
ID.me is seeking a results-driven Director, FP&A to join our fast-paced growing Finance team. Reporting into the VP of Finance & Strategic Planning, this role will perform financial analysis, play a key role in forecasting the company’s financial and operational performance, and prepare management reporting of company operating results. Responsibilities
- Ownership of all forecasting activities across P&L and Balance Sheet, including monthly financial and operational forecasting
- Ownership of short / medium-term consolidated financial model and regular preparation of 3-financial statements reporting, including for coordination
- Co-lead annual and quarterly Corporate planning cycle to develop and maintain Annual Plan and quarterly Running Forecasts
- Coordination with other functions (such as Rev Ops, HR, Product / Product Ops, Member Support, Engineering, etc.) to enable regular forecasting and approve headcount / expenses
- Coordination with Accounting, Fin Ops, and Procurement for support for monthly close process and budget variance analysis
- Support for preparation and updating of investor relations presentation material as well as investor due diligence and investor reporting
- Support for other FP&A responsibilities as needed in the areas of forecasting and reporting (including but not limited to detailed revenue forecasting, COGS forecasting, and expense / hiring tracking)
Ideal Qualifications
The qualifications below are ideal, but not all are required. We encourage candidates to apply if they satisfy some, but not all of the qualifications.
- 5+ years of experience working in SaaS / technology FP&A with experience working with consumption-based SaaS preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing an FP&A team (with at least 3 direct reports)
- Strong Microsoft Excel financial modeling skills, including a thorough understanding of modeling best practices and ability to develop complex, scenario based models
- Ability to model “all three” financial statements based on business drivers and high-level metrics
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction from management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, especially for consumption-based SaaS
- Experience with Microsoft Powerpoint and strong presentation skills
- Experience with forecasting tools (e.g. Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; MBA or Masters in Finance preferred

Note that candidates must be located in either South Bay (CA) or Northern VA and be willing to spend 3-5 days in office and travel up to 20% of the time.
