Description
We are looking for a seasoned leader to drive Quince’s global logistics airfreight and ocean management in, affecting rapid operational efficiency, profitable growth, and brand health. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver, a builder and an operator at heart, and successful in combining technology, data and other insights into best-in-class international air and ocean freight operations. The candidate is energized by solving complex business problems, often through influence over the freight brokers, IATA agents, global 3PLs and carriers. The candidate is expected to make high-judgment operational decisions at a rapid pace - sometimes with limited data sets in hand. Moreover, the ideal candidate is effective in an environment where customer experience comes first, and strategy, innovation and decision-making are intentionally distributed, candor, speed and data are highly valued and colleagues at all levels hold each other to unusually high standards on behalf of Quince’s customers.

This leader is required to work cross-functionally with BSA agents, freight operators, carriers, airlines and ocean freight providers and operators throughout Quince to build and support a cost effective and reliable freight solution to rapidly enable better efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
The Director of Global Freight will be responsible for all international and domestic air/ocean freight management including developing a holistic strategy and managing standardized SOPs for least cost, timely and reliable daily freight booking and operations into major airports in the US. The ideal candidate is expected to build and manage the respective business operations through co-design, development, and implementation of systems, processes with carriers, freight forwarders/agents, airlines, ocean carriers and customs brokers.
