Director of Commercial Corporate Accounts
POSITION OVERVIEW
Alarm.com, a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, is seeking a highly ambitious, nimble individual with a passion for sales. This position will work with the Alarm.com Partners, SDS Partners, Alarm.com Account Executives, and the Commercial Sales Organization to help us grow the market in North America. This role will focus on relationship building, selling, and partner development; along with pro-active support activities that increase overall product adoption. The ideal candidate will come from a security background and won’t be afraid to be in the details as well as help our VP of North American Commercial Sales oversee the strategy for the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Role will consist of a player coach and have responsibility over a few key Corporate accounts as well as developing and overseeing the overall Commercial Corporate Accounts strategy with direct reports. Identifies and develops opportunities for business expansion. Develops sales strategies and provides input into market dynamics and their effects on the company's strategic plan. Ensures that business development strategy is implemented. Manages and mentors the North American Corporate Accounts team.
The Sr Corporate Account Director’s primary job responsibilities will include:
- Maintains and grows long-term relationships with current clients. Promotes existing client development and builds relationships with prospective clients through office visits, presentations, and negotiations.
- Manage and mentor Corporate Account Director and Corporate Accounts Sr. Manager. Develop congruent Partner strategies and ensure those plans are executed successfully. Help AEs grow in their positions, develop talents, and help overcome obstacles to their success and the company’s.
- Coordinate prospects, help pursue and close new business. Identifies new leads and prospects, generates call lists, and obtains client meetings. Coordinate cold and warm calls, collects opportunity intelligence critical to opportunity qualification.
- Resolve or help resolve any customer service issues quickly and efficiently to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Identifies and participates in networking activities such as attending professional association meetings.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 8+ years of field sales experience in the security industry or related
- Successful history of client and account management, business development, and/or client training with a variety of organizations ranging from $10-100mm in revenue
- Proven history of increasing revenue, closing accounts and successfully growing accounts in a strategic manner
- Proven history or manging or mentoring salespeople.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently
- Ability to meet heavy travel demands – approximate travel is 75%
- Ability to manage a large set of accounts and prioritize activities for highest impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including client presentation and training delivery experience
- Demonstrated passion for providing the highest-quality customer service
- Ability to sell concepts and value-added services a must
- Team player with an extremely positive attitude and flexibility
- Strong technical and computer skills and aptitude
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment
