LastPass is looking for a DevOps Engineer:
As a DevOps Engineer in our Platform Engineering cluster, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining our platform infrastructure and best practices. The ideal candidate should contain a mix of a strong technical cloud expertise with a collaborative mindset to maintain and further enhance our platform’s reliability and scalability.

Who will you work with?
- You will be part of a dedicated operations community in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to architect, deploy and maintain a scalable and stable platform infrastructure
- You will collaborate with product development teams to understand their needs and provide infrastructure solutions
- You will work with the other DevOps teams to create, monitor and optimize processes and solutions that enable developer productivity across the entire organization
- You will work with the security and compliance teams implementing and enforcing security best practices in the platform by design and ensuring compliance with organizational security policies
- You will work and communicate effectively with your team members, sharing best practices, knowledge and discussion solutions
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Build, monitor and optimize processes owned by your team that will have a huge impact on the entire engineering department
- Harden services and infrastructure systems/components to decrease the maintenance efforts
- Design, build and maintain LastPass’ AWS based infrastructure following industry and company-wide best practices
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code principles to define, manage version and provision our infrastructure
- Thrive standardization and automation efforts of building infrastructure
- Design, optimize and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, systems and configurations
- Troubleshoot any resolveinfrastructure-related issues
- Contribute to incident response and post-incident analysis (when required) to improve our platform’s resilience
What does it take to work at Lastpass?
- Extensive knowledge and experience with:
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes
- DevOps tools and technologies used across the industry
- Linux operating systems
- AWS technologies
- Containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
- Configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible)
- Monitoring infrastructure with commercial or open-source monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- At least one typed programming language (Bash, Python or similar)
- Infrastructure as a code mindset (CloudFormation, CDK or similar)
- Ability to deliver solutions and provide root cause analysis while recommending, influencing, and implementing solutions to operational problems
- Good problem-solving skills
- Team-player and can-do attitude
- Ability to communicate comfortably with different stakeholder groups with different background, technical understanding within LastPass
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
It’s great, but not required:
- Experience with async dataflow, Kafka, CDC, Terraform or similar technologies
