Jokes aside - our client is currently in search of an experienced DCIM Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on expertise in DCIM platforms. They are looking for someone with substantial experience within the data center realm who will play a key role in providing expert guidance to achieve business objectives efficiently.

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain, audit, refine, and enhance the asset inventory of data center products. This encompasses cabinets, receptacles, breakers, power distribution units, uninterruptible power supplies, generators, and HVAC cooling systems. We are seeking individuals who are quick learners, adaptable, and capable of managing these diverse responsibilities:

  • Collaborate internally to provide support in capacity analytics technical solutions and create customized DCIM reports.
  • Conduct spot audits with internal teams to improve the accuracy of the DCIM database.
  • Deploy intricate DCIM solutions for precise capture of diverse customer environments.
  • Maintain precise DCIM asset records reflecting the physical status of the data center facility.
  • Develop training materials for internal DCIM platform users.
  • Execute specialized projects to enhance DCIM reporting functionality.
  • Create and maintain visual floorplan representations of deployed data center assets.
  • Offer technical feedback on automation opportunities related to asset maintenance and DCIM management.
  • Conduct cross-departmental training for continuous upkeep of deployed data center assets and capacities.
  • Assist in planning and executing system upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Over three years of experience with DCIM software, preferably NIyte DCIM.
  • Professional experience with BACnet, JSON, and Modbus data.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center Infrastructure Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of various data center asset types, including cabinets, receptacles, cages, power distribution infrastructure, and cooling infrastructure.
  • Proficient in application software such as MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with local field teams across multiple time zones.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Competent in reading and understanding construction documents.
  • Business-oriented with a focus on maintaining a commercial perspective.
  • Proficient in independent problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Flexible and adaptive in a constantly changing environment.
