We are looking for a talented writer and editor to join our content marketing team for the summer and help us build out content that will introduce more people to Lucidchart and Lucidspark. This internship offers the opportunity to learn more about content and SEO strategy at a leading SaaS company and receive coaching from an experienced team.
Responsibilities:
- Write clear, informative blog posts and landing pages that are optimized for search engines and readability online.
- Give thorough line and substantive edits based on Lucid’s content style guide to internal team members and contracted writers.
- Audit existing content to improve performance.
- Gain a clear understanding of Lucid messaging and the needs of our audience to produce content that attracts new customers and increases activity.
- Prepare content for publication, such as writing metadata and including internal links, and publish content through our CMS.
Requirements:
- Currently working on an advanced degree in English, journalism, communications, or a similar field
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Quick, enthusiastic learner
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
- A positive attitude about receiving and incorporating feedback
- A basic understanding of Lucidchart and Lucidspark, with a strong desire to learn more about it
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience working with a content management system (e.g., Drupal, WordPress)
- Familiarity with major style guides (i.e., AP Style, Chicago Manual)
