What you'll do
As Compliance Manager, Education Partnerships, you will be highly motivated to organize and push forward compliance requirements for HopSkipDrive as a transportation network company working in the education sector. You have a particular ability to translate legal requirements into operational conversations with clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of current and upcoming regulatory compliance requirements, as well as the manner in which the company meets those requirements
- Partner closely with cross-functional partners to translate compliance requirements for clients
- Work with operations teams to plan compliance with requirements
- Assist with compliance stand-ups in new markets
- Complete ad hoc research on compliance-related questions and issues
- Facilitate implementation of compliance requirements, including setting up systems and processes to ensure compliance
- Support the Director in optimizing HopSkipDrive’s rapidly growing regulatory portfolio
What You Bring
- A candidate who wants to bridge the gap between regulatory and company compliance, client support, and business development, and strong preference given to candidates with experience in education compliance
- 5+ years experience in compliance, OR JD & 3+ years experience in compliance
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams to educate clients on company compliance, translating requirements for both internal and external audiences
- Proven ability to facilitate implementation of compliance requirements, setting up systems and processes to ensure compliance with limited supervision.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to practical business operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $100,000-$125,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
